| .The Idea |
| Implement a site to help communication and coordination among team members of a governmental program aimed toward enhancing the quality of life in the lowest resources neighborhoods presenting urban deterioration. Enable the generation and sharing of program’s KPIs. |
| .The Business Challenge |
| Even when there was no doubt about the need to have a centralized platform to allow PMs to interact between them, MINVU senior officers were particularly concerned about the potential impact of productivity that could generate moving from a individual-centric work practices to a team-oriented.
Also the generation of KPIs should not require a considerable extra effort from the team as this could have an impact on projects productivity. |
| .The Solution |
| Huddle Group team developed an e-government site based on MS SharePoint Services, MS Project Server, and customized SharePoint tools for Reporting and BI. KPIs were automatically generated from MS Project Server data reducing the required effort to generate weekly status reports. |
| .Business Benefits |
| The solution enabled a team of more than 200 neighborhood officers to share a unified and consolidated view and allowed that 10 regional committees and a central committee oversee and administer the monetary investments, releasing new payments as project progress was documented.
An additional benefit for the MOP was to increase visibility and transparency level in the approval of different public work projects. |
